The Research Park's Commercialization Centre is Canada’s largest clean-tech incubator, focused on industrial technology, including fuels, products, and processes. The Commercialization Centre provides client companies with access to over 50,000 square feet of office, laboratories and pilot plant infrastructure for research, commercialization and entrepreneurship.

Key features of the Commercialization Centre include:

  • 6,000 sq ft. lab space with attached offices
  • 3,600 sq ft. low-bay pilot plant space (12’ to underside)
  • 3,200 sq ft. high-bay pilot plant space (26’ to underside)
  • BioAnalytical Laboratory
  • Walk-in refrigeration, loading docks and locker rooms
  • Individual offices and large office suites

Commercialization Centre pilot plant clients include Woodland Biofuels, GreenCore Composites and Western Phytoceutia.

Lab clients include the BioAnalytical Lab, Bluewater Technology Access Centre (BTAC), Centre for Industrial Material Development and the Lambton Water Centre (LWC).

Bioindustrial Innovation Canada is located at the Commercialization Centre. This organization is responsible for the creation of Canada’s first hybrid biochemical cluster. Bioindustrial Innovation Canada aims to help Canada become a globally recognized leader in taking sustainable feedstock, such as agricultural and forestry by-products and wastes, and turning these renewable resources into energy and value-added chemicals for use in applications ranging from construction to automotive parts.
