Atelka Grand Opening Ceremony

Local dignitaries gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open Atelka’s new Sarnia contact centre Thursday afternoon.

CEO Georges Karam says the site, at the Modeland Rd. Research Park, has been one of their most successful openings in the company’s 10-year history.

Karam says they’ve completely renovated their site and hired and trained the first 120 employees. He says about 60 more employees are currently in training.

Karam says he’s confident their goal of 300 full-time employees will be achieved quickly.

He says if the company can maintain its clients and employees an expansion will be considered.

Atelka started taking calls on behalf of its major telecommunications client, Rogers, in early April.

The Montreal based company has signed a ten-year lease at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park for 28,000 sq ft of space.
