Western Research Parks Among Top 10 of University Business Incubators

Thursday, November 26, 2015

Sarnia, ON – Western Research Parks (the Parks), including the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park, have been ranked the fifth best performing university business incubator in North America.

The rankings, jointly released by UBI Global and Ontario Centres of Excellence, saw the Parks improve upon their seventh place position of 2014.

The rankings consider best practices, hands-on tools, analyses, and success stories. A Top University Business Incubator is an incubator managed or formally affiliated with a university that provides better value for the ecosystem and its startup clients than its regional or global peers. It stands out from average-performing incubators with better outcomes on economy enhancement, access to funds and post incubation performance indicators.

"These rankings underscore the reputation we are building on the North American stage," said Community Development Corporation Board Chair Mike Bradley. "The Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park continues to act as leading conduit between ideas and commercialization."
