Community Development Corporation Board Highlights

Sarnia, ON – The Community Development Corporation Board of Directors met for its monthly meeting Thursday, March 12, 2015 where the Board:

Re-elected Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley to the position of Chair for the 2015-2016 term.
Elected Lambton College President Judith Morris to the position of Vice Chair for the 2015-2016 term.
Received a report from the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park's Executive Director which indicated the Park's occupancy rate now exceeds 97 per cent.
Directed staff to proceed with the call for applications for two new Community Directors serving two-year terms.
Discussed plans for an Open House to be held May 20. Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce members would be invited to meet Research Park tenants and tour the Park's facilities.
Heard an update on plans involving the Research Park working in partnership with Lambton College to offer a Water Symposium at the Lambton College Residence and Event Centre Thursday, March 26.
Noted that the Research Park will host the 10th annual Capstone Engineering and Design Competition Friday, March 20.
