Research Park Lands Bio Medical Research Tenant

Sarnia, ON – The Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park has finalized a 5-year lease with a bio medical research company for 1,500 square feet of space.

Western Phytoceutica Inc. develops evidence-based, high quality, value-added natural health products from plant sources including American ginseng. It also develops alternative sourcing of plant materials for advanced processing. The company has signed a lease for 1,000 square feet of laboratory space and an additional 500 square feet for a pilot plant to accommodate research and development and commercialization.

"We are very pleased that Western Phytoceutica Inc. has selected the Western-Sarnia Lambton Research Park as the venue for furthering its product research and development," says Park Executive Director Tom Strifler. "Medical research is a new area of endeavour for our region and we are excited to work with this company as it establishes its presence locally."

With the lease, the Research Park is now operating at 97 per cent occupancy. It's expected the new tenant will begin operating out of the Research Park in January 2015.
